Management with no idea how to manage people; very demotivating environment where leadership minimized contributions from their teams and did not acknowledge or recognize significant efforts. People were promoted to management positions with no team experience and with no experience on how to develop their team, be respectful to their direct reports, and kept growing the culture of limiting opportunities for women. Not surprised that most of the women on the team left, but the Glint surveys they conducted to “fix” culture would revise the message to say the ratio of women to men declining was a result of voluntary departures…because they would aggravate the women with all the work, no credit, and then rate them for poor salary bonuses and performance because they didn’t have additional bandwidth for additional work leadership wanted them to do but couldn’t even identify. Then leadership’s solution to “fix the ratio” would be to bring in external women at a higher level who would only stick around for a couple of years at most because they too recognized that the culture was poor.
