Novartis undoubtedly employs some very intelligent people. They're also involved in some interesting and innovative projects. Pay and benefits are among the best in the business sector.
Cons
Management style is very top-down and controlling with an attitude of "do as I tell you - or else!" The company is very dysfunctional; information is often difficult to find and departments are discouraged from interacting with each other. Mandatory meetings frequently held at impractical hours.
