Pros

Good benefits! Good base salary! Recognition and rewards! Diversity! Ethical!

Cons

Pipeline is inconsistent. Poor management decisions in planning and launch of new medications. Poor decisions in planning national field territory sales coverage.Deceptive communications from management. They claim transparency but made many decisions behind the scenes and did not share it with the field and was not willing to discuss it after it was implemented. They rushed to expand and hire new sales employees to sell a new drug rather than use the talented pool of current field sales to fill positions. The drug has failed badly so they decided to restructure the division and displace many good productive highly compensated employees to make up for the lost profits and revenue. Then hire some back at reduced salary and larger territory. I hear more layoffs to come.

Pros

Pays pretty well in comparison to similar jobs in the market

Cons

Unstable schedule where you are often asked to come in overnight (1-2 am) regardless of if you have worked the previous day or are off. Basically feels like you're permanently on-call to conduct environmental monitoring. Training is slow. The Micro dept in general is currently understaffed. The job also involves lab work once you are done with your daily environmental monitoring tasks. The work never ceases and the Technicians as a whole has several responsibilities. Promotions seem to come very slowly here.
