Pros
It's gainful employment in a time where work is hard to come by.
Cons
Where do I start? This is by far the worst company that I've ever worked for. The fringe benefits are not competitive compared to other government contractors. You have to wait one year for a 401k match and then a 3 year vesting period after that. How about training? Forget it unless the customer is willing to reimburse them for it. I would recommend that you negotiate your desired salary up front because raises are 1-2% across the board regardless of your performance. And to get that paltry 1-2% raise you have to undergo a performance review process that will cost you hours of your free time. And don’t even think about bonuses because there are none. The company culture is to identify the producers and run them into the ground by expecting them to work countless extra hours without pay. The company’s strategy is to get people on contracts as quickly as possible regardless of talent level or qualifications. Basically if you’re billable, they’ll put you on a contract. This results in the producers having to make up for less motivated and/or less skilled employees. I’m quite surprised of the reviews mentioning of good work/life balance because I have seen and experienced the exact opposite. I suppose that could also depend on the customer or contract that you’re working for. The corporate support is severely lacking for a company that has been doing business for 10+ years. The leadership of the company is more interested in bragging about how great they are instead of acknowledging the people who are responsible for earning them handsome paychecks. Somebody else posted a review mentioning that the senior management acts more like politicians than astute businessmen. Guess what? That's because some of their executives were former politicians!
