Pros

Discount on product. Nice peers (talented people to collaborate with). Company size where you can sometimes still see the impact of your work.

Cons

Toxic. Over the past couple of years, the culture here has quickly turned into a Game of Thrones saga – now it's just another corporate beast in the making. The workload is bonkers: I'm constantly playing catch-up from the previous team's lack of foresight while simultaneously trying to rapidly scale -- globally. If you're in a leadership role, brace yourself to manage a younger, less experienced team (thanks to those low salaries not exactly attracting top talent) and spend a good chunk of your energy helping them juggle their workloads and navigate an uncertain future. On does a lot of great work on D&I topics, yet there is a glaring need to address diversity of THOUGHT. Reporting to legacy leaders, fast-tracked because they're BFFs, is downright nauseating. It gets worse when you waste energy teaching them things they should already know. My boss's insecurities are glaringly obvious with their gatekeeping of crucial conversations and telling me to "be more humble." All in all, it's exhausting and I can't recommend it.

Thanks for your feedback. As we've grown very rapidly, we're still building a lot of scalable processes and can understand growing pains felt by team members. We're committed to addressing pain points related to our ways of working. We've also rolled out new feedback processes in 2024; including upward feedback where team members give feedback to their direct leader. We also have a commitment to create a radically candid environment through providing feedback tracking as this is a key to the growth of everyone at On.

Pros

Room for growth, especially if you really go looking for opportunities. Most of the opportunities are within retail. Don’t expect to be launched into a corporate role from a retail role.

Cons

- Pay is not good. Similar retailers pay several dollars more per hour and offer better benefits. They say that the rate is competitive but having worked for several other retailers, it’s not. - Operations are a nightmare. The company has scaled too fast and has left many loose ends that are still not tied up. Good luck finding answers to any problem that comes up. Be warned that paychecks and benefits WILL get screwed up. There are so many inconsistencies that make for more work and needless interpersonal friction. - Too much information is available for the entire company to view. There are not appropriate channels built in to limit access to information based on title and responsibilities. - Company culture is fine, but not for everyone. I did not feel welcome. I would not recommend working here unless you do super well with ambiguity. This company is still running like a startup.
