Pros

On the positive side, the Belgian team is composed of skilled and supportive colleagues, and the overall atmosphere within the local team is pleasant. Additionally, the compensation is competitive, which is certainly appreciated

Cons

However, these strengths are overshadowed by some fundamental issues within the company. There appears to be a consistent lack of clear strategic vision. Decisions are often made without transparency or long-term planning, leading to confusion and frustration among employees. Moreover, the way the company treats its staff lacks a human touch. There is little focus on employee well-being, engagement, or long-term development. This results in a work environment that can feel distant and demotivating. There is potential within the organization—especially thanks to the dedication of the local team—but without a clearer direction and a more people-oriented approach, that potential remains largely untapped

OneSpan has a collaborative and welcoming culture, and teams are genuinely supportive and helpful. People are kind, approachable, and open to sharing knowledge, which creates a positive working environment. There is also openness to trying new ideas and exploring fresh approaches, which makes it an exciting place to contribute and grow. Strong cross-functional collaboration and flexibility make it easy to feel supported while doing meaningful work.

Pros

Remote work is amazing, and there is a lot of flexibility at OneSpan, as well as a lot of freedom to improve the company. If you have an idea, and you want to try and make it happen, they will let you. You may not get all of the resources that you need, but you will be given the opportunity to at least try it on your own.

Cons

Not sure the company is heading down the right path, and with all of the options available in the cybersecurity world, OneSpan is one 2008 banking crisis from getting hurt...bad. Its also pretty stagnant, and people tend to stay employed there for a very long time (which could also be a pro, not a con).
