Pros

Amazing culture with flexible hours, free snacks, and Friday "Demo Days" where everyone has the opportunity to showcase their work and support each other. Open office floorplan - as an intern I sat across from the CEO Opportunity to connect with extremely talented and experienced people. At a startup, you can get entrusted with a lot of responsibility. Even as an intern, I was treated like a full time employee. Opportunity to explore different types of jobs - within the marketing department I worked on analytics, web dev, and project management.

Cons

It's still a startup with a lot of room to grow. I'm not sure how much the culture will change 2, 5, 10 years from now.

Pros

Interns are treated as if they are full-time employees, working on tough problems Work is reviewed by experienced mentors, meaning you learn a lot as you go Company is still small, so you sit and work with your mentor and manager Teams within the company are close, going on outings and helping each other do well Teams iterate fast and often, meaning they get a lot done

Cons

It is a small company, so there are only so many resources that are easily available to you If you are not as excited about the product, there isn't much movement within the company (they do one thing) Gender balance in the workplace is pretty poor
