      Pros

      There are nice co-workers. That's it!

      They lure you in during the interview telling you about the great opportunity for earning potential and professional advancement. Then once you start you realize you were duped. Apparently, according to the people who used to work at Yodle (Ben's previous company), this is the exact trick they used over there. There is no heart and soul in this company. OpCity does not value the people that work for them. If you aren't on the phones dialing away at this call center, you are of no use to them. You are required to work all holidays and if you get sick or have to take a few days off for a wedding for example and are unable to make your #'s, this puts you on a warning. On the next pay cycle if you don't make them, they put you on a written warning and then it's the 3 strikes your out policy. There is zero job security here so if you have a family or responsibilities you might rethink working for this joke of a company. They promote people that have absolutely no business being managers some are lazy and others completely incompetent.

      Sorry I have not gotten to your review sooner, but I wanted to make sure to give you a response. A lot has changed since your review in July. Our team has grown significantly, we have moved to a tremendous new space with a lot of employee perks, and we have improved our process significantly which has translated into really good pay for our Reps. We have a new and advanced PTO policy, and have improved our manager coaching and communication to employees when quota minimums are not met. We still have standards to enforce, but managers now have the coaching and support they need to work with employees to get where they need to be and still enjoy PTO and Holidays.       Pros

      Opcity covers the bases for what you may imagine comes with a downtown Austin tech startup. You'll find a casual work environment, free snacks, and competitive pay right? The difference is, Opcity is more than that. I've had two plus years professional experience working in not-so-successful startup environments, which honestly made me hesitant to submit a resume. However, my short time at Opcity has proven otherwise and that pays testament to the company values, culture, and goals. The overall concept of the company's technology and services is incredibly original. I can confidently say "promising" is an understatement. The team is motivating, transparent, and supportive with each role in the company filled with integral players. From the CEO to the CSRs everyone exudes a drive to win. If you want to be a part of a company that dreams big and has the data, the support, and the employees to back it up. This is the company for you. There is a heavy emphasis on career development and a lot of freedom, flexibility, and encouragement to explore those avenues. When work becomes less about free snacks and more about the greater vision, you know it's going to be good.

      Cons

      Early morning call times and weekend work dayrs are my only complaints.
