Pros
Generous benefits, including free lunch before COVID hit. Travel opportunities exist, even for administrative staff. Colleagues are intelligent and you can learn a lot while working on meaningful topics.
Cons
It's a very hierarchical organization that lacks transparency about how decisions are made, which creates an environment that is high stress. Colleagues often noted they were exhausted and anxious, and did not feel supported during the restructuring process. The work environment is also characterized by in-groups and out-groups, which feels toxic and unwelcoming to new people. There is little room for career growth if you're in an administrative position. Finally, I was often asked to take on additional responsibilities without being compensated, but they were portrayed as if I was being given incredible "learning opportunities" and should be grateful.
