Pros

- Stable company, so if you manage to convince you are essential, your job is secure. - 401(k) is good. It is with Fidelity and has minimal expenses. - Good work life balance.

Cons

- They pay at or below market rates with raises that barely cover inflation. - Company is focused on cutting expenses at the smallest level and on maintaining products. It is not focused on growth and innovation. The growth is mainly via acquisitions. - Health insurance is relatively expensive. 401K match is only 1%. - They do not treat employees well. For example, they told us their solution for "attrition" is hiring, with no mention of efforts to increase retention. - They are strongly based in India and Canada, so if you're US based you may find your job outsourced there. - CEO is a SJW with far left views he expresses in frequent e-mails sent to all 14,000 employees.

Pros

Pros was that you had a job (and not for long if they find a way to outsource your position in the company).

Cons

Cons are so many to list, but from the leadership in this company being so out of touch with his/her employees, the restructuring done in their company to save some bucks on their end was crazy brutal, firing all of their talented workers to implement automated programs that did not function properly. Overall, horrible experience with OpenText, lies upon lies when it came to growth opportunities and keeping teams in the dark, no communication what so ever. Their business practices were just plain terrible.
