Pros

I was part of a company that got acquired, so many of these benefits are practices that they continued after acquiring us (marked with *). Currently remote Decent number of holidays 3 weeks vacation* Good teammates* Good work-life balance*, but that might depend on what products you work for. My team/business unit follows SAFe Agile model, so we also have built-in periods of downtime every 3ish months for planning, innovation, etc.

Cons

I was part of a company that was acquired by OpenText, so we were not a priority. A lot of coworkers were laid off, and we didn't get opportunities for promotions and raises till the 2nd year.

Pros

Pros was that you had a job (and not for long if they find a way to outsource your position in the company).

Cons

Cons are so many to list, but from the leadership in this company being so out of touch with his/her employees, the restructuring done in their company to save some bucks on their end was crazy brutal, firing all of their talented workers to implement automated programs that did not function properly. Overall, horrible experience with OpenText, lies upon lies when it came to growth opportunities and keeping teams in the dark, no communication what so ever. Their business practices were just plain terrible.
