What I value most, however, is the team; my colleagues are incredibly supportive and collaborative, making it a great environment to work in. Staff have a lot more access to executive-level leaders here than other places. There are tons of opportunities for learning, development, and professional growth. The work is fulfilling, and you have tons of exposure to the greater nonprofit and philanthropic space. If you're comfortable managing your own workload and have strong communication and relationship-building skills, you'll most likely do well here. Most of the people here are hardworking, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Every workplace comes with it's own set of challenges. It's a consulting firm, and some teams are better than others. Most staff are on more than one project, so if you have multiple managers, it can be tough to manage competing priorities. It can be difficult to get recognition/promotions if you aren't a favorite. It's very fast paced, so it can be tough to try out new ideas and/or not a comfortable place to learn through failure. They're obviously putting effort into making it less so, but the culture can be a bit sink or swim.
