Pros

I worked with several different departments for a number of years and some of them were brilliant to work with. I believe most of the colleagues got to work from home as part of the hybrid 'blended lifestyle' which was good. Some benefits are okay {but could've been better}. Could park onsite (then anyway)

Cons

There have been too many restructures, resulting in the loss of numerous talented and loyal colleagues. The Senior Management Team was overly bloated, with many senior members being inexperienced and prone to making irrational and unwise decisions. The Senior Management Team should be known as 'Senior Knee-Jerk Management Team'. I witnessed bullying by the Senior Management Team, which regularly impacted their teams. Before I left, there was erratic behaviour and micromanagement by the Head of Sales, Neighbourhood & Safer Communities Manager and the Heads/Director of Neighbourhood and Customer Services which was completely unacceptable - yet they seemed to get away with it. I hope they have left. The recent CEO was diabolical. He believed he knew everything but lacked experience in the housing sector. Coming from KPMG did not make him an expert in this field. I heard that several directors left under his leadership, even though they were there for only a short time. There was a lack of career progression for peers, with too many excuses and unresolved issues being swept under the rug. Their employee retention was poor. Paragon and Asra should have never merged in the first place.

Pros

PA does offer competitive salaries, but the cost is your mental health.

Cons

What a lovely, welcoming, supportive place this was to work 6 years ago. This has sadly now changed beyond all recognition, and the word that is banded around every day is "toxic". When you think that staff morale could not get any lower, it does. How low can it get? Front line staff are exhausted, with quite ridiculous changes made at management level (without any real thought or consultation with those doing the job, day in, day out) and implemented on a whim. Another recent restructure has seen so many valued staff members let go, while poorly performing staff have been moved into positions they are not qualified or experienced to do. This means that those who are worse affected are the tenants of PA Housing. They ultimately suffer because of poorly thought out changes by a housing association on it's knees.

Pros

Competitive pay, some good staff still there

Cons

CEO is appalling he has no idea on the industry you keep threatening to leave please just go. Directors are directing in areas of the business they have no idea about and some conduct themselves in a very poor manner - unapproachable, ignorant and rude you will know who you are. The managers are managing areas of the business with no experience along with shocking people skills. The toxic environment is unhealthy and detrimental to the health and well being of staff.
