Extreme micromanagement, but good healthcare benefits. - Anonymous employee PCB Piezotronics Employee Review

Pros

Health insurance premiums are paid by employer (although when group companies transition to PCB health benefits, they have to forego subsequent annual raise.) The company is run by a family. Each brother has his own business unit. Employees who work in manufacturing or engineering in New York seem to be the happiest.

Cons

The sales and marketing organization is a mess. Turnover is extremely high. I had 5 bosses in 2 years. It is run by someone with no sales or marketing experience who micromanages the department to an unbelievable degree. You can't even publish a LinkedIn post without preparing a detailed summary and setting up a review meeting with the vice president. When traveling for work, you are not allowed to travel during business hours. There is a lot of nepotism. Owners and executives hire family and friends for jobs for which they are not qualified. People are not empowered to do their jobs.

Pros

Flexible overtime, fully paid health care, decent amount of paid time off. The people in the department and building that I work in now are wonderful. There’s always one person you never get along with, but overall there are a few good spots to work within at PCB.

Cons

If you happen to be in the main building, every rumor about drama, and favoritism is true. The fact they will post a job with one person in mind, interview multiple candidates only to choose their favorite is real.
