Pros
Health insurance premiums are paid by employer (although when group companies transition to PCB health benefits, they have to forego subsequent annual raise.) The company is run by a family. Each brother has his own business unit. Employees who work in manufacturing or engineering in New York seem to be the happiest.
Cons
The sales and marketing organization is a mess. Turnover is extremely high. I had 5 bosses in 2 years. It is run by someone with no sales or marketing experience who micromanages the department to an unbelievable degree. You can't even publish a LinkedIn post without preparing a detailed summary and setting up a review meeting with the vice president. When traveling for work, you are not allowed to travel during business hours. There is a lot of nepotism. Owners and executives hire family and friends for jobs for which they are not qualified. People are not empowered to do their jobs.
