Pros

There are none. Absolutely none.

Cons

The worst professional experience I have ever had. I struggle to call PGMBM a law firm. It's a hellhole. It is completely dysfunctional with absolutely no organisation, no management and zero competence. Bullying is rife to the extent that serious allegations have been made against individuals and the firm as a whole. Absolutely nothing gets done about it because the men in charge could care less. I have never witnessed this level of misogyny anywhere in my life. It was awful especially when it was emanating from one of the dumbest lawyers whom I have encountered in my life. They bring the most ridiculous claims to court. They have never won a single case nor will they ever. Just do not work here. They are also hiring because they fire people within their probationary period. Stay away.

PGMBM Response

I was really surprised and concerned to read this review as it describes a culture that is totally opposite to the one that I have been working in for the six months that I have worked at PGMBM. As the company began to grow rapidly, the senior leadership team acknowledged that there was a lot of work to do on fair and transparent processes, policies, and procedures. That’s why they hired a team of senior experts to help build the framework to embed these into the business. We have rolled out a lot of new initiatives and ways or working. We have also introduced a staff survey and feedback loops in listening sessions where we can talk to staff directly about any concerns. As you will have recently seen, we have just helped our clients win a settlement against BA and we are continuing to support hundreds of clients in receiving the justice they deserve. The language that you use throughout your review is disparaging and insulting to your former colleagues; I am sorry if you found this environment difficult. With regards to your allegations of misogyny and sexism, they are not claims I have heard from anyone else. The senior leadership team has a 50/50 split of men and women, and I am confident that the members of the team will confidently raise concerns if they witness attitudes like this. Our team here are passionate, professional, committed, and ethical. Law is not always the most supportive career to women, especially those who have children. However, we are committed to offering staff flexible working practices, paid time off for dependents, six months paid maternity leave, and we will continue to look at ways we can support women in the business. I have two young children and have been given full support to manage my diary in a way that means I can fulfil my role and make the school runs. This isn’t something women are offered very often but everyone at PGMBM went out of their way to support my commitments to my family. We have always had clear whistleblowing policy as well as disciplinary and grievance procedures. We also have a clear exit interview policy, so I’m disappointed that you did not feel that you could raise any of these concerns through these channels rather than raising them here. I would like to investigate your allegations as we take these things very seriously at PGMBM. I would encourage you to reach out to me via email. Zoe, HR Director
