Pros

Can’t think of any positive.

Cons

Terrible management. Zero communication. Waited until less then two weeks before to tell us a job didn’t exist anymore. Even though we asked for weeks/months. Asked about job placement after and was told probably not. Zero training.

Pros

This job is good for introverts who like to be autonomous. I liked spending my day doing resets, "solving puzzles" with the groceries, with my head mostly hidden in the shelves. The district manager was great, and fair, but they still were under pressure to make me feel rushed. Later, my direct manager was also awesome, but my first one had not been. Don't do this if you cant handle the pressure of workload ALWAYS being more than you can actually accomplish.

Cons

I had to please store management, stay out of customers' way; keep my work area clean, which was a real challenge; and be friends with back door receivers so they would help me when I needed help locating product. But store managers like to use people and they tried to get me to do increasing amounts of tasks that were not my responsibility, such as pricing & organizing clearance items or new product that came in. Beware of being too good of a worker. The very worst thing for me, as a woman in my 40's, was injuring my hands, knees, and back from repetitive tasks, kneeling on hard floors to reach bottom shelves for hours, But worst of all: Lifting 50-75 lbs frequently, and you never know just how heavy the tote was going to be until you already tried to lift it.
