Pros
- Some of the people here are great and you will likely form friendships quickly
- Some of the work can be challenging (in a good way) at times
- Lunch and learns, off-sites, free food/snacks/beer
- Solid benefits
Cons
- For the most part this place won't be the entrepreneurial environment that was potentially described to you when you interviewed (at least from the consultant perspective).
- A number of teams have been worked to their absolute breaking point. It's discouraging and disheartening to witness, and worse to be a part of.
- Pretty high billable percentage (make sure you ask how billable you need to be in the interview).
- There is an obvious divide between management and consultants.
- A strange ratio of management to consultants (more managers than consultants) for such a small company.
- Haven't witnessed a lot of major changes for the better, despite consultant feedback to management in the form of surveys, reviews and old fashion conversations over the past couple of years.
- Ask about the work from home policy and if anyone works from home.
- You're replaceable.
