Pros

Its a small company with a very hands off and carefree environment, which can be great for those independent minded individuals who don't need direction or to be micromanaged. For those that do there are a few that will be glad to assist you. A good place to temporarily test and sharpen your skills while under pressure.

Cons

The environment can be very dysfunctional and stressful because of a lack of direction and communication. Managers want to be in charge of and involved in everything but responsible for nothing. They love to waste time playing the "blame game" rather than finding solutions and taking ownership. Don't wear your feeling on your sleeve because they often use SCREAMING and CONDESCENDING comments as their way of communicating.

Thank you for your input. We admit that it does get a bit stressful at times and being in a compact environment, communications may be loud; however, we believe that using the word, "screaming" is not an accurate description of the environment. We have, however, recently made some changes in our management team, and we believe we have a much stronger team, with better communication skills, and our employees seem to agree.

Pros

Everyone I’ve met here, on every team, is extremely intelligent. The work we do is fast-paced and high-impact, which keeps things exciting.

Cons

Sometimes it felt like things changed a little too quickly. Others, not quickly enough.

Pros

I would say the salary was middle-of-the-road. It covered my expenses and left a little extra for savings, but it wasn't extravagant.

Cons

The CEO is a ruthless dictator who demands nothing less than perfection from his employees, even when it is unattainable. He creates a climate of fear and anxiety, where employees are afraid to make mistakes, even when they are inevitable. This leads to a culture of risk aversion, where employees are reluctant to take any initiative or make decisions, for fear of being reprimanded or fired. This culture of fear and neglect has a devastating impact on the company's bottom line. Employees are overworked and underpaid, and they are constantly under pressure to meet unrealistic goals. This leads to high turnover rates and low morale, which further undermines the company's performance. I am ashamed to have ever worked for such a company. I would never recommend PS Energy to anyone, either as an employee or as a customer.
