Pros
Management is relaxed towards employee behavior, dress codes, personal conduct. As there are few restaurants or delis near the office, the ownership has done a very nice job of providing general snacks and canned beverages. Parking is plentiful, and access to freeways is good.
Cons
The company seems to be going through a period of significant growth, and there are a mishmash of minority owners that seem to think they pull all the strings. Some owners are passive and seem to just want a big payday via leveraged buyout, others are intent on having their stamp on everything. A few near the top have gone as far as remove long serving owners from the company. Certain owners in leadership positions wield far too much power within the organization. If you have a set of skills that comes from a military background, you will serve well as long as you can blindly follow orders in certain departments like project management.
The company has one key client that makes up over 50% of their annual volume. If that volume of work was taken out of the equation, PSF would be considered a mid-size mechanical contractor (vs. the large "$100 million" contractor the ownership strives to be.
