Hard to review your employer when they hardly give you a job - Transcriber Pactera Employee Review

Pros

- On paper, the company looks good. I applied for the transcription area because it seemed like decent work for relatively good pay that you could do at your own discretion. However (and i'm aware this isn't directly Pactera's fault but rather who they sourced me out to), the employers are an absolute pain to deal with. - The person who was emailing me directly from Pactera was lovely though; prompt replies, friendly and super helpful with answering questions.

Cons

I was sourced out to the "Skype Project" and the "Cortana Project". Each had their own training courses for different programs. Don't bother undergoing training. Not because the training is difficult, but because you'll never use it. As of today (12/06/2016), it's been almost 5 weeks since I underwent training for each of these programs. "Skype Project": 1) Actual program used in training is good. However, in the skype tech support group, (of which there are 26 people), only 1 person seems to be using it and has spouted endless problems over the 3 days she's being using it. 2) They'll constantly tell you they need transcribers, but really you're hardly ever used. 3) When questioning the manager of the project, she wasn't particularly helpful and promised user verification to no avail. "Cortana Project": 1) "Once you complete training, send an email to ___ so we can go over it and help you improve!" But one day, i'll get a reply. That day wasn't any of the days in the past month.
