Pros

Padlet has a great product that is making the world a better place. The product team is committed to improving what they currently offer while also taking major swings on new offerings. The culture is extremely friendly and people are generally treated with genuine respect. The team is relaxed and hardworking, very much a microcosm of SF. The hierarchy at the company is somewhat flat, with no incompetent managers. Employees are often given reign to work on projects or initiatives that they're passionate about. I know of multiple instances where employees with niche interests were allowed to build features/products relating to those interests, some of which eventually became very significant to Padlet's product. One note that pertains to other posts here is that Padlet's management style and decision-making process is quite human. The course of the company is decided by the management team, led by the CEO. Products are built and judged based on their vision. I believe this structure is better optimized for people with drive who come up with cool ideas and work hard on them, rather than people who want clear instructions with pre-defined success and failure conditions. People who do not believe in the management team or people who are uncomfortable taking initiative may find it to be a hard place to work. Office and location in SF are also pristine.

Cons

The best snacks were consumed quickly. Working next to a beautiful park was not as great as I thought it would be when I started. There was something a little sad about always seeing people hanging out in a park while you're working.

Pros

I’ve worked in sales long enough to know when a company is forcing enthusiasm versus when people actually love what they’re building. Padlet is the second one. I put this on my LinkedIn profile: “Making school more enjoyable for students and easier for teachers. The kind of job that doesn't feel like work. I wish the universe had connected me sooner.” The sales team is sharp, low ego, fast-moving, and refreshingly normal. Customers genuinely like the product and trust the people selling it, which means conversations feel more human and less like theater.

Cons

Working here may permanently reduce your tolerance for bloated companies, fake urgency, and meetings that should have been a Slack message. Also, because people genuinely love the product, newer salespeople may develop unrealistic expectations about how pleasant selling software can be.

Pros

Great workplace culture and morale. The company feels small enough that your voice is always heard and valued, but big enough that your ideas and opinions are acted on and followed through with. They emphasize both employee and customer satisfaction, and that is felt when interacting with any employee at Padlet, or meeting with Padlet customers. The product itself is second to none, and they are always making enhancements with the user in mind.

Cons

The company is always looking to improve it's processes, so you need to be able to adapt to changes fairly quickly
