Pros

-Placing a candidate at a company feels impactful

Cons

-There is zero work life balance -Ridiculously high turnover. No startup this young should have this many employees leave. I have seen 10+ people start after me and leave before their 6 month mark -It's all about politics. Leadership already has their "favorites" so you will be a number to them, nothing more -Lack of leadership focus. Jumping from one vertical to another, jumping from one idea to another, it feels like we're being led by a dog with ADD -"culture building" is just one day in Napa, or "smashing a pie in your boss face." You're being led by people who have never built a company, never led people, and who refuse to take leadership training/courses -There is a 80%ish customer churn rate. And leadership doesn't care.

Pros

- Incredible PMF and business opportunity - pace of growth and quality of product is WONDERFUL. - $500 coffee/transportation stipend per month - Free lunch/dinner - Founders are not giant sticks, quite down to earth - Eng/Product is fairly stable for Series B, significantly less chaos than similar Series A or Seed startups - Lots of autonomy, lots of opportunity, lots of room for scope and growth - Youthful yet measured energy; not a tech bro culture.

Cons

- Long hours is the norm (but not out of fear, but out of motivation to keep pace and thrive) - Sometimes lack of structure or short/mid-term planning; retrospective process is not mature. - Current healthcare plan lacks choice

Pros

- Great people. The team is super strong with a ton of highly intelligent people who are also fun to be around - The business opportunity is huge. The core product actually works and the mission is very easy to rally around. It feels like most people here genuinely believe in what we're doing - Super high ownership environment. You can often take on new projects and initiatives with little red tape - A good amount of mobility within the company. I've seen a number of people pivot roles/get promoted over time - Good benefits (free breakfast, lunch, dinner) and solid pay

Cons

- A lot is expected of you. Probably not the place for you if you're looking for a chill startup experience with a ton of structure - The hours can be on the longer side. That being said, it does seem like the culture around that is changing and people are starting to prioritize some more balance, especially as our team grows.
