Pros
* Lots of opportunities: people are given lots of responsibility from the very start and can (and do) grow into senior roles rather quickly; also, if you are interested in a specific relevant field or skill, there is usually the opportunity to go into it; there are for example Data Analysts who became developers
* Cutting-edge tech stack: the technologies Parkbob works with are modern and great to work with; good for developing your skills and career in relevant fields
* Freedom: people can choose relatively freely how they want to work; currently task-planning is getting a bit more structured, but everyone still has a major say in what they can work on, how to work on it and how to organise their time
* Great team atmosphere: people are supportive, positive, friendly; mood is generally very good even in stressful times
* Customers: there is a lot of interest from really big players in the mobility industry and very interesting projects going on with them for new services and products; can get great insights and exposure to what's going on in the market
* Growth: Parkbob has grown rapidly in the past year; it's motivating to see how the company is developing and how people are creating a great product together
Cons
Most of the contras are related to the fact that Parkbob at the time of this review (mid 2018) is still a startup and can probably be found in any young, quickly growing company.
* Structure change: the entrepreneurial ad hoc structures of the past are not suitable for scaling with the recent growth (beginning to mid 2018), so a lot of processes are changing or being formalised, which might feel a bit chaotic at times till they are implemented
* Requires an entrepreneurial approach: since things are moving so fast in Parkbob, it's up to every employee to set their own pace and agenda; you need to have a certain self-driven attitude to thrive in such an environment; definitely not something for "9-to-5ers" or people expecting a 100% clear task-allocation and top-down performance goals, especially in senior positions
* Too many meetings: as the company grows so does the amount of meetings (as people are used to resolving things that way from when the company started); not everything can or has to be solved or discussed in meetings; introducing e-mail updates and a policy around that might help
