Pros

- Community feel: bagel Mondays, casual Fridays, brownbags with upper-management. - Opportunity to meet/work with full staff. All-Staff meetings. - Opportunity to meet really cool partners, government executives, etc. - Ample professional development opportunities - Trivial tasks can be passed along to interns - Rarely weekend work - Opportunity to book quiet/private work spaces - Building, terrace - Free coffee/tea, treats sometimes - Organized supervising structure - In building convenience store

Cons

- Management does not want to be criticized and is very defensive of feedback. If you choose to criticize, you will be targeted. - Culture is not inclusive and people are regularly ostracized from work cliques. - Work is sometimes awarded based on social skills rather than technical skills. - Once you become known for knowing how to do a tedious task well, you are stuck doing it for everyone. - Content and methods utilized by the Partnership tend to be outdated, just take a look at the website. - Complete lack of diversity and non-acknowledgement from management. Just look at pictures on website, especially of Board of Directors or SAGEs. - A few really narrow people work here and there is no interest in developing them. - The Partnership does not hire many people from local communities, which definitely impacts the culture and our connection to the work. - Pay is not comparable to work - Work life balance - Non-retention of talented people

Pros

Great boss and good team, with a solid understanding of how to get new teammates integrated and working.

Cons

Wider government policies are hurting them, it's a shame to see since they do such good work.
