Pros

- Flexible work schedule (somewhat). - Easy to coast through if this you want to build media/industry contacts. - Emphasis on mental health initiatives. - Personal growth opportunities, because you mostly rely on yourself/team members.

Cons

- Things that they offered in their contract might not be fulfilled, and to get answers or accountability is a tedious process as the HR team can be unresponsive. - Be prepared to be tasked with so many other projects outside of your job scope or purview. The company does not reward such initiative either as it is expected out of everyone to "show what you can bring to the table", and has an emphasis on a toxic meritocracy system. - No proper feedback system or transparent communication between managers and individuals. - Salary cannot sustain through today's cost of living but is justified that "this is so in agency life". Do note that many smaller agencies offer a better salary package than that of Hume Brophy's. - Managers do not assist with career progression in any way. - Work is mundane, only traditional communication tactics are utilised in campaign strategies. - Not a great step if you have big career aspirations, had to explain the firm every time I met a new person and sometimes they flashy companies count!

Pros

The people generally aren’t bad.

Cons

How would you like to help the interest of companies under litigation for pesticides? How about big pharma and big tobacco? Maybe you’ve dreamed of helping a certain home sharing service get into nyc during a housing shortage or beleaguered ai platform fix its reputation? Big banks justifying fees is another favorite. Penta is struggling. It can’t even articulate what it does. It’s using GPTs to create faulty agents and then selling that as some newfangled product. If you have any self respect or ounce of ethics left you’ll work for a different firm that actually makes the world a better place.
