Pros

The people in the trenches, working beside you are very talented, good people. Met some very great people that will be life-long friends. Gained valuable experience to help prepare me for my next role.

Cons

There is too much internal competition and not enough collaboration. A lot of focus on looking good to the investors. CEO is out of touch. He thinks Perficient has the best culture (I'd say recent reviews are evidence this isn't the case). The culture is very top-down. Mr. Davis hardly speaks to anyone who isn't a VP or above and has created an expectation that people in the STL area come into the office every day. The company’s idea of a career path is to have people take on more work and the training opportunities are limited. The culture breeds complacency and interactions become very transactional (come in, check your boxes and get your pay check). They have grown primarily by acquisition and it seems the goal is to get big enough to be acquired.

Pros

Very little outside of some of the people you work with. FTO is only nice if you have a manager who lets you use it. They did allow work from home, not sure if that is still the case.

Cons

This company was run poorly by Tom Hogan before private equity bought it but the buyout accelerated their decline. If you want to be a cog in the machine, this is the place for you. The leadership is only focused on themselves. They will praise you or throw you under the bus depending on how they feel it makes them look to their bosses. The employees who don’t have a stable long term project live in fear of being let go irregardless of talent and many of their most talented are leaving because they see the writing on the wall.
