      Pros

      PerkinElmer is big in the instrumentation/scientific business and known for making the mirror for hubble telescope that cost billions of taxpayer dollars. They recently bought CambridgeSoft to get into informatics business for lifescience.

      Cons

      Check linkedin profiles, Services, product development are headed by people with no industry, technical or domain knowledge or experience. And poor work culture/ethics, Recent exit of a number of Asians from informatics management to Merck, Pfizer due to poorly thought comments from senior staff.

      Pros

      Great people in field and customer facing positions. Vast knowledge base of applications and instrumentation.

      Cons

      Very poor executive leadership- don't want to spend money on marketing, promotion of instrumentation, or relevant customer applications. Most do not know industry. Wonder why sales are decreasing.
