Pros

The health benefit options were nice. PTO offerings were average.

Cons

Senior Leadership was passive-aggressive. Would spy on associates through cameras and publicity shame with screenshots on chats. Culture is very superficial, preaching servant leadership during training that did not carry through to real life. Payroll model designed for burnout and high turnover, often putting pets and people in unsafe situations due to lack of labor allowance. Sales were top priority over safety.

Pros

-working with the dogs/cats is a great experience -most coworkers are nice -general manager is competent and kind -will give you days off if you need them -when not busy, it’s a laidback job -kennel techs don’t have to mess with customers

Cons

-pay could be better for the work you’ll do -you’ll feel gross clocking out from working with dogs all day -when busy, you’ll be overworked and will feel burnt out -some dogs can be highly aggressive. Most of them time the manager or leads will mess with them, but sometimes they’re allowed into group. When they are, they rarely respond to correction and it’ll be up to you to handle it -expect to be bit at least once -maybe this is location specific, but there is a very noticeable clique of leads and front desk workers who will make you feel unwelcome. This will especially ring true if you’re neurodivergent -be prepared to work in extreme temperatures either way
