Pros
Gets your foot in the door, you learn basic dog training, learn how to run classes and work with clients and their dogs as well as learning useful products in the pet industry which comes in handy. Great to start off as a baby trainer.
Cons
No further training past the initial and for me there were no other trainers on location so you have to figure things out on your own. Also very corporatey and you end up doing a lot of non dog training tasks when you aren’t actively training like running the cash register or stocking shelves. On top of that the commission definitely could have been better, they offer 15% when I’ve seen other places offer 40% or more, plus they have the cheapest prices ergo the cheapest commissions so it ends up not compensating for the minimum wage you start at.
