Pros

There's nothing positive to say about this company. It's a sweatshop where the micromanaging CEO functions as an HR person which means you'll have to deal with him directly if you don't get paid or whatever negative happens.

Cons

They hired me as a staff so I worked hard to prove myself sometimes until 3am. After 2 weeks, the CEO said he likes the work I did, but he had to lay me off to save money and he never paid me. Make sure to collect proof you worked there like screenshots of the imagery, social media, emails exchanged, etc. You can sue the company through a small claims court and get paid eventually.

Pros

Honestly the only pro I could think of us getting a pair of free shoes. But I wouldn’t even say that’s a pro considering they are the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.

Cons

Honestly I don’t even know where to begin. I was extremely excited about this internship in the beginning but quickly realized I made a huge mistake. The office is small and those who work there think they are all God’s gift to earth. I felt like I was being judged and looked down upon at all times. Also didn’t know it was even legal to require headshots for an office/sales position, but they apparently do that. Overheard management making fun of some applicants for a job that recently opened because of their photo. They made it seem like they were so understanding about things especially as an intern not getting paid but that quickly changed. I was getting text messages demanding things to be done outside of work which I believed to be completely unprofessional considering they knew of my heavy course load. Biggest joke to rely on your interns so much but then don’t pay them and treat them terribly. I wasn’t feeling well and dealing with health issues, I ended up having a BRAIN TUMOR and got no response when I resigned. Overall, terrible experience. Luckily, I have since gotten over the horrible experience but for awhile I wanted to not work in fashion at all anymore because of my experience at Peter Marcus Group.
