Pros

Pin flex is good The pay is good as long as you understand you’re getting that money to be abused

Cons

Where do I start? The positive place of the internet has the most toxic, racist and ableist culture I’ve ever seen. If you are a woman of color managed by a white lead, be aware. Meetings and meetings that drive nothing Leadership is way too comfortable with you working 60 hours weeks and expect you to always be available. Middle managers will disregard your concerns and if you don’t play politics, you won’t get anywhere. I saw a manager bully and push out two women of color from her team, one of them disabled. Hard work doesn’t mean anything if your manager doesn’t like you. It’s all bullying, discrimination and a crappy career framework with a clueless exec team.

Pros

WLB Remote work (which is slowly ending). Strong ICs

Cons

Poor leadership vision, strategy, and execution. Rebranding products that already exist as net new to chase a headline. Unclear career growth unless you are internally connected to “the right people”. Middle management that is there to boost their career / repackage IC ideas as their own with zero credit. RTO rollout was botched leading to senior sellers leaving. Lots of toxic positivity and virtue signaling
