Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m glad to hear you’re happy with our environment, and we look forward to continuing to grow together. Thank you for being part of our team .
The company is doing very well and growing fast. The founders genuinely seem to care about employee satisfaction. The culture is inclusive. The pay is good. And you get to work from home!
Cons
Pismo is due to be acquired by Visa as soon as they get regulatory approval. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. The contract includes a provision that the founders will keep working for the company for at least 4 years. Everyone who wants to continue working for the company will become Visa employees. Every indication is that Visa is happy with the way the company is being run and doesn't want to make a lot of changes. The only con is the uncertaintly. There's no guarantee that they won't change things for the worse down the road.

Pros
They have really nice Visa logo lunch boxes
Cons
There is a long list of failed lean core companies with better product and better leadership that had a better chance of succeeding in the US. Being owned by Visa doesn’t change the fact that Pismo is led by amateurs looking for a big payout
