Pros
I loved my kids, loved my peers. Dedicated myself to the same school for 8-10 years, although it was one of the roughest schools in the district.
Cons
Politics, upper level admin talks big but rarely carries through, it is said that the kids come first but really it seems like there is a culture of "what can we do or not do to make sure we are not fired". Kids are also treated with gloves while teachers are treated with the iron fist. Of course it is school to school and if you are an employee under the admin level NEVER THINK YOU ARE SECURE I taught for a long time, had many accolades and had risen as high as I could for a teacher. A parent complaint, a friend of admin wanting my position and I was out of there like a bolt of lightening. I never knew what hit me.
