Pros

Most people are really dedicated to doing their best for clients, especially in the junior roles. The work and clients were interesting.

Cons

The workplace often had cliques and favouritism, especially by leadership, which sometimes made things feel exclusive or even a bit toxic. For a company this size and with its goals, there was a surprising resistance to change. High stress was common because of the heavy workloads and unrealistic expectations. The office locations weren’t convenient, yet leadership insisted on strict attendance, which felt out of touch. New hires’ experience often went unrecognized, which held back growth for both individuals and the company.

Pros

Great snacks in some of the offices and some lovely, welcoming people.

Cons

I am genuinely so disappointed at what sounded like a really exciting and fast paced environment. Plexal run like a larger organisation; decisions don't get made, weirdly tons of bureaucracy, and you can be made to feel isolated really quickly due to the clique/favouritism nature of the business. Communication is a real issue due to the lack of it, nobody seems to direct their comms to the right places and loads of side conversations leave out key people. They pretend to be transparent, but they don't have zero understanding of what that means, and its hard to navigate and understand the real picture through all the internal egos and politics. I have never worked somewhere that spend so long unpicking and prioritising various conversations and issues that SLT create rather than actually doing the work/job that needs to be done.
