Pros

$7000 home office stipend. Location flexibility with working remote. Forward looking application with a successful business model. Company paid offsites. Unlimited PTO people take advantage of. Successful design team. HR exists.

Cons

15 separate levels and pay bands which is sparse and at times confusing for less than 30 employees. Diversity talked about a lot, little action put into practice. Tech Lead Managers are the line managers, so they are spread thin for management support. Odd engineering design patterns up and down the stack that are not seen in other eng companies, in the front-end mostly. Work is done in silos. Pattern/culture of haughty twitter rants from management.

Pros

- Remote work - Amazing people (kind, caring, and unbelievably smart) - Very helpful managers - No red-tapism, we don't do that here - flexible work schedules - company paid offsites - great benefits - unlimited PTO, and not the scam type where your manager won't approve it. You're encouraged to take 3 weeks off in a year - Diversity is valued and you feel like a valued employee - You'll get everything you need to succeed here - They do H1B/ OPT sponsorship for international students - Compensation is at market rate - Well funded startup so enough runway, so don't worry about any upcoming recession

Cons

Not necessarily a con per se, but with every growing startup comes a lot of responsibility, and sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming to juggle a lot of things, but that's also a great growing opportunity. That said, you can take a day off or take a break for a few hours whenever you need to, it's no biggie.

Great, highly talented, and functional product team

Cons

Not a strong sales motion, overbuilt product team without any signals from the market
