Pros

$7000 home office stipend. Location flexibility with working remote. Forward looking application with a successful business model. Company paid offsites. Unlimited PTO people take advantage of. Successful design team. HR exists.

Cons

15 separate levels and pay bands which is sparse and at times confusing for less than 30 employees. Diversity talked about a lot, little action put into practice. Tech Lead Managers are the line managers, so they are spread thin for management support. Odd engineering design patterns up and down the stack that are not seen in other eng companies, in the front-end mostly. Work is done in silos. Pattern/culture of haughty twitter rants from management.

Bad Leadership, no foresight

Pros

Smart people, good vibes, good offsites, good benefits and pay

Cons

Leadership and management is not great. No foresight. Hire people like crazy when the market supports it, then fire a lot when the market doesn’t. Spending years developing a product burning through crazy amounts of cash without having even a single decent customer. Not a good look on the management at all. No stability in the company for right now at least. Stay away if you can. Don’t get trapped by their high salaries.
