Pros

Easy to teach 2-3 classes, workout is very structured, and clients are lovely.

Cons

Where do I even start with the cons... The management (corporate staff and owners) treat their instructors and desk staff terribly. They are very unsupportive and belittle you almost every time you interact with them. They do not encourage you to grow. There is no follow-up training to improve your classes. If you want a raise you have to be willing to hunt them down and then go through at least 2-4 reviews where they come to take your class, put you down for minor mistakes, and then hopefully, eventually, you get your raise. Because this process is such a hassle and so negative, many people do not get raises while working there (I worked for over two years for the same rate). They also have a major issue with paying people on time. During my time there direct deposit almost never worked. They never bothered to communicate when it did not work and let us know we would need to pick up live checks. Toward the end of my employment with the company, pay was being held for several days, sometimes weeks, and when the owners finally did send out communications regarding the missing pay, they were long sob stories about how they were in trouble and had no money, etc. These sob stories about money were an especially hard pill to swallow when at the time the owners' Instagram accounts were public and full of pictures of their fancy trips to Paris, luxury car rentals in NYC, and fancy cooking lessons in their bougie home. It seems quite clear what they value, and it is certainly not their staff.

Pros

You get to work out for free at any of the studios. You get 50% off water and socks, but not on the apparel or any other merchandise. The job is really easy. You just check people in, ring up sales, and take inventory and help out with weights during class. After helping out with weights, you have 45 minutes essentially to do whatever.

Cons

The hours can be very early. You need to arrive 30 minutes before your shift, with studios have classes that start at 6:00 am. The pay is low, and there's really no room for advancement. Small class sizes are troublesome--good temporary gig to supplement some income, but don't go into it thinking you'll go anywhere in the company.
