Pros

- This used to be a very good place to work. I recall recommending it to many interns as well as people I knew outside work - Build some great relationship with colleagues when worked here. Colleagues were very understanding and helpful and supported each other whenever it was required - Good remote work flexibility. - The CEO promotes inclusion and diversity & takes issues about employee health and safety seriously. -The main office for IT is very conveniently located in CBD -Organization has offices at multiple places throughout Vic .

Cons

Based on my experience of having moved away in very recent past to a much better organization after working here for a considerable amount of time and recently talking to many good people I know who still are working here full-time : - Contractors are given hire and fire authority which is very odd , comparing to what it used to be as well as comparing with my current place of work - The delivery standards seems to have rapidly deteriorated. Anything goes as far as it's wrapped as "agile" or "innovative". Many meetings , a lot talk and no concrete delivery - People with pragmatic views and credible experience are constantly sidelined. I experienced this first hand as well but it now seems things are just gone from bad to worse. - The IT management seems to have lost it by promoting people akin car salesmen who have no experience or any credibility in or outside organization over people with vast experience, right temperament as well as respect developed from fellow employees over time - High bureaucracy with many layers of managers with fancy jobs titles. - A lot of very good employees ( and not managers) who made major contributions have simply been asked to go. - The general employee moral is very low . Having received many inquiries about openings with my current employer I can guess a lot of employees are just looking to leave. I would not recommend joining IT at the moment unless there is a major management change and better sense prevails. It's a shame that it used to be good and that it has gone down so fast.
