Avoid - Shift Engineer Press Glass Employee Review

I had an excellent experience at Press Glass. The engineering team was incredibly welcoming, collaborative, and a fantastic group of professionals to learn from.

The only drawbacks of this company are the longer commute for those living in the Piedmont area and the room for improvement in the benefits package.

There's so much opportunity for Press Glass to disrupt the glass fabrication in US. Brand new equipment, brand new facility, private owner with deep pockets. Also, there's some really good folks in both facilities who really care about servicing the customer.

The head of US is a very knowledgeable person. He is also a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. An environment of fear has been created within the US operations. It's a perfect example of leadership not being willing to have truth spoken to it and refusing to accept reality. The culture is one of secrecy, toxicity, high turnover and fear of "tripping on a rug". The VP is demeaning to ideas he doesn't share, to suggestions of improvements he doesn't support and he is combative & explosive at times. He abhors responsibility and trusts no one. It's a really unfortunate situation.
