Too much work-too little time - Claims Progressive Insurance Employee Review

Pros

We have a great branch manager that cares about her employees.

Cons

Unbelievable workload - it will kill you. They expect so much out of their employees and run on minimal staffing. We are truly committed to our client but never get time to breath before you are assigned another claim. They want you to meet with the clients, look at their cars, write estimates at the body shop and close the claim as fast as possible. Our senior manager has been promoted over the level of her competence. She does nothing to help out the staff but micromanages and will write you up for the most trivial reason. She is disliked by everyone.

Pros

One day a week in the office. No weekends. Work from home 4 days. New hires do have to be in office 2 days for first year then go to 1 day a week. Benefits are good. Everyone is awesome. Really only had one supervisor who was a little on the micro managing side but they were new to it. Other than that VP don down the line to adjuster are all super nice and approachable

Cons

It’s a stress full job. I love it but it’s not for everyone. You have to be on your A game every day or you will get behind
