Pros

Met some great people along with great experience. High profile experience.

Cons

It can be a hostile environment with the bully you through mentality from several of the leadership team. Inappropriate nicknames are give to employees from COE some of which are very derogatory. Senior person in leadership team was found with ear against the wall on several occasions listening to private conversations behind closed doors. Blatant lies from some leadership to cover done to cover their own mistakes or missed deadlines that where then put to off on lower level workers. Personal dislikes towards others get in the way of getting the job done as a team. Reviews where a joke when asked to have feedback. Lots of talk about working together and mutual respect but not actually done or followed up with action. They, last I was there, believed in funneling up from interns. Problem is, interns are too inexperienced to know better or question much. Management prefers no questions or ideas other than their own.

Pros

I had a great experience working there. I was able to learn more about philanthropy and how athletes develop their foundations for their community they want to assist. The people were great to work with.

Cons

The position I had was temporary as a contractor so I did not get a lot of training under my belt, I just had to adapt as soon as I was in the office.

Pros

Working with pro athletes seemed glamorous at first but that sentiment quickly faded once reality set in. See list of cons.

Cons

The business model by nature is volatile because it's hinged on athlete performance, popularity, and behavior - and there were definitely issues with the latter. The company is very disorganized and dysfunctional resulting in vital tasks going unfinished, wasteful spending, poor internal and external communications, poor vendor relationships, unsatisfied clients, angry donors/board members, and high employee turnover. During my tenure, the number of employees went from 20+ down to 6. Leadership would frequently change internal workflows and structure on a whim and when it wasn't necessary. Employee leadership was not transparent and would flat out lie to the rest of the company on a regular basis. Expect job compensation to be poor and don't expect any pay raises unless you're related to the CEO or attend the same mega-church. To that point, the company is rife with nepotism. They have built a reputation for not paying vendors on time if at all. During the COVID shutdown, the CEO sent a company wide text message at 5am containing a link to a strange AI-generated news clip of an anchor praising his "pure-blood" brothers and sisters for not being vaccinated when over half the company was intelligent enough to have been vaccinated. I gave this company the benefit of the doubt too many times and it ended up hurting my career. I urge anyone applying here to reconsider. Times are tough but this company isn't worth the headache and I can't imagine they will remain in business for much longer.
