Pros

Good product mix backed by a sound reputation (company wide, not locally) and recognizable brand. Benefits are strong and comparable to most companies that have them.

Cons

Financing program is all smoke and mirrors unlike other industry companies. Retirement benefits are second to none, until you realize that you probably won't make it long enough to be vested. Support is lauded in the interview process, but amazingly absent once you come on with them. Management only cares about getting a launch bonus by having you write business on your close family and friends. The sales managers here in Omaha even joke blatantly about only wanting to recruit rich kids that can write business on their family. Joint work appointments with the management are constantly cancelled at the last second leaving many of us FPA's between a rock and a hard spot... how are you supposed to learn the industry when you don't have anyone to learn from?! I should have left when some of the good managers left earlier this year, as though that wasn't a flashing red light. Best advice--Stay Away! There are other companies in the industry that will provide you support and training, better pay for the work you do, and a far better culture, instead of belittling remarks in front of your peers during training, no help when you ask for it, and the feeling that they just don't care about your success. Won't be here much longer, thank God!

Pros

They take you to lunch on your first day. Hybrid 2 days in the office, but I'm sure that will increase. The benefits & pay.

Cons

No training at all. You learn by failed case work and what other coworkers tell you. They expect you to do case work you have never processed before. If you fail too many cases, they put it against you and say your quality is bad. Train normally and the quality wouldn't be bad. If you continue to do "bad", they will just put you on phone calls every day to help rude and mean old people. Upwards of 40+ calls daily. They also don't put everyone on phones even though they say being on phones is an essential part of the job. They pick and choose their favorites to do casework and put everyone else on phones daily. Managers are useless and just sit in meetings all day and don't offer help, training, or guidance. Managers also provide snobby remarks when asking for clarification or help and answer back as if you are the dumbest person in the room and act as if you should already know the answer.
