Pros

Flexible hours and earn as much as your comittment to hard work. No problem here

Cons

During open enrollment and throughout the year people are being sold plans that are more expensive and are not the best options available. During open erollment 95 percent of the insurance they sold are non compliant plans and if the individual or their family had a seriousl health crisis like an open heart surgey they are facing financial ruin. The churn rate on most of the products is 70% after 3 months or when people use it for the first time and realize that it is junk.. That means that 70 Non market place plans are very profitable but not in anyones best interest except the company selling it. Selling them as a viable option during open enrollment and leading the client to believe that it is part of open enrollment is very unethical and although may not be illegal potentiallly will hurt alot of people. Leading a person to think that this is a more affordable option is a down right lie. 93% of the people who bought policies could have gotten money to help pay for their coverage and had far superior insurance. They called to buy insurance because they know it is open enrollment but are sold a junk product that is non compliant and does not meet the minimun standards under the Affordable Healthcare Act The average agents arent even marketplace certified and they are selling junk products during national open enrollment that were illegal to sell before Trump took office. The really shameful thing that they did was had a small group of people sell ACA plans to people who had serious health issues. They had to do it because how could you justify selling insurance during open enrollment and not even offering the products that people are calling about and being talked into really crappy insurance. After the enrollment they stopped compensating on ACA plans which says alot about the ethics of this company."We have to pay a few people to do this so we can can at least keep up appearances" after one month they stopped compensating those fold

Prudential Response

We appreciate receiving feedback, as we recognize that we can always improve and are continuously striving to do better. While we don’t believe responding line-by-line to this review would be productive, we do want to be clear in our overall response. 1. Ethical and compliant sales practices are critically important to us at Assurance. We continue to focus on, and commit significant resources to, making sure we are doing business the right way to help consumers obtain the right coverage. 2. When we don’t have the right product for health consumers, we have – and continue to – transfer them to third party providers. Assurance compensates its agents for both referrals and sales. 3. Health insurance continues to become more expensive, causing consumers to consider lower cost options each enrollment season, including short-term medical plans approved for sale by state insurance departments. We believe in the importance of consumers being fully informed to weigh the trade-offs of different health coverage options, understand the benefits and limitations of each product, and make the choice that is right for them. 4. We are always interested in hearing directly from our agents and shoppers about questions or concerns, so that we can best understand, and care for, issues that may arise as we seek to do the right thing for consumers. Please feel free to contact us at ethics@assurance.com.

Pros

The culture and the way Pru treats it's employees is wonderful. They vet their hires thorougly, so you rarely find anyone that is not terrific in their role. Their benefits are also great.

Cons

Current AI adaptation has sent the tech side of the organization into a bit of a spin, as it has in almost all organizations. Due to that, some reorganization have been occurring, and many very talented leaders have been laid off. But the focus remains on the customer always, and no doubt these changes will level off soon.
