Pros

Great team and company to work for. Good job security and you know what you will be doing every day most of the time. People are friendly and always want to help. Good, cohesive culture with managers that don't micromanage or push too much, they give you the space to do your work.

Cons

The location is not the most up to date and needs modernization, it has old floors and does not look the best in shape, and they are in no rush to fix anything. The plant does not make a huge amount of money so does not have funds to modernize. The company is a bit slow and there are not a lot of exciting day to day challenges or fast paced progress you might see in another company. There is not a lot for management incentive-wise to push their employees to excel. This is the kind of job you can retire into, but not one for a young professional with a lot of passion and impetus to grow. You can expect to know what you will be doing each day, which may be good or bad depending on who you are (personally I did not like that so much). Not a huge amount of growth opportunity.

Pros

Some of if not most people are friendly and supportive. Okay-ish benefits. Slightly better than the average I would say. Flexible hours for flex40 and salary people. In my particular case, they are very flexible when it comes to doctor appointments and kids' activities.

Cons

Emotional and mental damage from a toxic environment. Gossip galore and everyone is eager to point fingers or say "not my job". Managers who literally yell and curse at employees. Everyone is overworked and underappreciated. Sexism runs rampant. Communication between mangers, departments, and floor operators is non-existent. FAVORITISM EVERYWHERE! Certain people are treated differently because they are "in" with the right people in management. No one is treated equally. The machinery on the floor is old and falling apart.
