Cons

CTO favouritism, toxic work culture and environment, no career advancement unless you are a favourite, salaries are a pittance compared to industry standards, management ridicules previous employees, drug and alcohol abuse at company events and a general lack of professionalism throughout the company. HR shares issues with CTO and CEO (by magic) said information somehow ends up as gossip fodder for the rest of the company. For the love of god, avoid this place like the plague.

Thank you for your review, which we were disappointed to receive. I would have liked the chance to discuss these points before you left, but I don’t believe they were raised during your employment with us. You can contact me directly to do this now, as I’d like further details about your experience and perspective. Nevertheless, I’ll look into the points you raise because some of them are very concerning, and things we don’t recognise at Pugpig. Any further information you’d be willing to provide would be helpful, so please get in touch if you feel able. Susie

Pros

* You’ll gain some fast experience if you’re just starting out. * Exposure to a busy, chaotic environment. * Occasional opportunity to take on responsibility earlier than you might elsewhere.

Cons

* The culture is toxic: drinking culture. * Clients include terrible far right supporting media companies such as UnHerd/Tim Montgomerie * Management style is chaotic. * Career development is virtually irrelevant unless it fits with their direction. * If you need accommodations for a disability, you won’t get it

Pros

Good place for new graduates to begin their career. But LEAVE after 1 year! - Get that experience then run!

Cons

The starting salary is extremely low! There are no employee benefits (unless you enjoy drinking heavily). The company culture was acceptable initially, but over time the environment has become hostile and toxic. Racism is prevalent among employees. Not BAME friendly! Drama and gossip are widespread, both among junior staff and management. Many employees are neglected, forgotten, and mistreated. Those willing to compromise their integrity receive favoritism and recognition. leading to many quiet quitting! There is no clear training process in place to help employees improve. Groups have formed among the junior staff, creating a divisive atmosphere. Some employees treat others condescendingly and express themselves aggressively.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s important for us to understand what we can improve on. We hope that during your time with us you learnt lots and gained valuable experience that you can take into your next role. Our people and culture make us who we are and I’m sorry to read your experience. We encourage all employees to let us know about concerns when they arise and have a number of channels for doing this. I make myself personally available to our team and welcome the opportunity to talk about anything, so we can listen and respond as necessary. We also offer exit interviews to all employees who leave us as a way to gather feedback and suggestions for improvement. The issues you raise are very serious and I’d have liked to discuss these with you in person before your employment ended. I’m committed to look into the points you make and ensure these are discussed by the leadership team, with appropriate action taken. We currently offer a number of benefits to our people including hybrid working, wellbeing support, private healthcare, enhanced family-related pay, life assurance and summer Fridays, as well as social activities. In addition, we have vouchers and discounts available through our partners. We review our benefits regularly and are open to suggestions if there’s something we’re missing. Whilst we already have a company handbook which covers many of the issues you mention, we know we can always improve communication and training. We’ve been working with an external provider to launch new DEI training which will specifically educate our employees on allyship, unconscious bias, and inclusive language. We’ll also look into whether there are any gaps in our current policies and procedures, and update as necessary. We weren't aware of many of the concerns you have mentioned, so thank you for bringing them to our attention. I would like to discuss your experience in more detail, so please get in touch if you’re open to that. Susie
