Pros

Young and energetic atmosphere Some basic but poorly executed training provided

Cons

Atmosphere of fear: you have one day notice period and receive constant threats of being laid off. Lot of stick and very few carrots: If you are sick, you must take three days of unpaid leave. Draconian production timing and you get fired if you can't hit them. Bad management: your team gets shouted at on most days for issues that originate from poor management Problems with staff retention and very high turnover: most people have only been working there for few months and even them seem to be constantly looking for another job Zero to all hours: technically zero guaranteed hours but must accept all shifts on any day or time Salary: the position is 'sold' with 8£ salary, but in actuality it is a minimum wage job with a 80p 'bonus' which doesn't happen in most weeks. All it takes is one of the team members to make one mistake and the whole shop loses their bonus. Naturally, this does not create a team atmosphere but one of great hostility.

Pros

Free food (although not as healthy as they say), some colleagues are like family

Cons

HR, poor management. Too much gossip, no organisation, horrible pay. Always short staffed. People who work hard do not get any promotion and lose their motivation. Also, the company has been selling the same boring food for a decade and management blame people working in shops for low sales instead of coming up with new marketing ideas.

Pros

- Great people who you get to know over time. - Food Allowance

Cons

- Micromanagement: Mainly coming from the top (CEO, Directors, Head of Departments), people are being PAID to help the business grow and expand, stop micromanaging them, and leave them to do their job. - "Cover your a*s" style: Everyone in this company works in this style, from the team members in the store to the directors, based on a culture of fear, no one wants to bring up an idea or address a problem for fear of upsetting the CEO, who himself has no idea what he's doing. - Push-Pull Style: Some work towards one goal while others work towards another different goal without reaching a common ground. - Extremely Toxic: If you don't get in the good graces of a few specific people - mainly the department heads - you'll have a tough time, getting caught up in the gossip and rumours that fly around the office and stores. - 5th Grade Boys fight: The constant silent bickering between the two founders only affects everyone who works for them, while one has a vision and goal for the business, the other prefers to go in the opposite direction, contradicting all decision-making and thus creating a negative environment for everyone.
