Pros
It was an easy foot in the door into an IT career after university.
Cons
- Poor support from management. Once they have you locked into a contract and on client sites, there is little care for the employee any more. - Deceitful application process. There were many promises made to me upon application (software development role, salary etc.) that are not followed up on. - Stunted development opportunities. Don't get me wrong, it is possible to progress following your role, but not within QAC. It's no coincidence that there's incredibly low retention rate of employees after the two year contract terminates. - No freedom of choice. You're going to do whatever work their clients require at the time, regardless of personal preference. I understand the need for this, but if you have any vague idea of what you want to do in the IT sector, this job is not for you. Your personal preference will not matter. Your tolerance for this programme will be entirely dependent on the client you work at - you will have little to no engagement with QAC. If you're thinking about applying, I'd strongly suggest trying to get in contact with a current consultant to find out their views.
