Pros
The insurance carrier was recently purchased from Bank of America, therefore I've only had a little over three months to experience QBE First. The senior management appears to not waste time and wants to get things done. They have done everything they can to make the team feel welcomed and valued.
Cons
The benefits are lacking at this point, however now that the company has restructured and doubled in size, I am confident that better packages will be negotiated on behalf of the employees. While senior management seems solid and does what they can to recognize the hard work of their employees, my small division does not do the same. People are rarely rewarded for their accomplishments and when they are, its more of the "everyone gets a prize" attitude. There is nowhere to advance within my department, which means a career change if anyone wants to move up.
