      Pros

      Majority of workforce are nice, friendly and easily to get a long with. Decent job security for current oil and gas climate.

      Cons

      Disgruntled work force, with a large portion of the workforce having a negative outlook. Inconsistent approach across the management of teams, promotions and recognition. Limited "Plan", a lot of "Do", poor quality "Check" and what is "Review"? Disconnected from wider BG Group. Very "clicky", if you're not in the club with the right people you'll be left out. Silo mentality between teams. Limited development outside of core discipline. Focused on short term achievements at the expense of employee satisfaction.

      Pros

      Very good renumeration and the office is centrally located and easy to access. Opportunities to network within the Shell business, including Shell SMEs overseas, with potential to get overseas experience.

      Cons

      The quality of management is inconsistent, and poor integration between teams. The business is currently reducing headcount, and likely to continue to do so over the next couple of years. It can be difficult to get overseas placements for those looking for international experience. Cookie-cutter approach limits exposure to different industry technologies.
